Chateau Trianon Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
Grape Variety | Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmanere |
Vintage | 2011 |
A symbol of elegance and refinement, Trianon refers to the Grand Trianon of Versailles. The estate is located southwest of Saint-Emilion, where it can be traced back to the 17th century. The story goes that a steward of Louis XIV had the castle built and named it “Trianon” in homage to Versailles. In 1999, following the sale of Château Cheval Blanc which he co-owned, Dominique Hébrard bought Château Trianon and renovated this promising vineyard for 17 years.
A vintage that opens fully, well decanted this wine offers magnificent floral notes, blackcurrant, blackberries and a nice well-balanced finish.
