Peccavi is a small boutique vineyard located in Western Australia, in the ‘sweet spot’ sub-region of the Yallingup ridge, in the north of the Margaret River region. All the Peccavi Wines are estate grown, hand-picked, handcrafted and see only the finest French oak.
Peccavi is notably one of the first Australian vineyards to have the same new clones being used by the greatest Estates of Bordeaux. The Estates viticulture practices encourage vine roots to dive deep into ancient granite, ultimately concentrating flavours in the fruit and adding natural mineral characters to the finished wines.
Jeremy Muller, owner and founder of Peccavi Wines spent 26 years working in the financial markets and left to pursue his dream of making some of the best wines in Australia. After many years of searching New and Old World wine regions, Jeremy found Margaret River. The estate in Margaret River was in demand from many highly acclaimed local wine producers, with fruit which had been harvested for over a decade. It was a perfect estate for Jeremy to begin, today producing wines which offer beautiful structure, balance and aroma complexity throughout a range of whites and reds.
Jeremy has been awarded the title of 5 Star Winery by James Halliday, a plethora of medals from wine critics globally and the Peccavi Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 was ranked as Best Cabernet and Best Red Wine from Australia by HK IWSC 2021.
Peccavi’s wines include:
- Peccavi No Regrets’ Sauvignon Semillon – is a quintessential Margaret River wine style that personifies region and lifestyle. The wine’s aroma is generous and punchy with layers of tropical fruits; it is crisp and dry with the palate displaying ripe nectarines, passionfruit and guava, the finish is clean and refreshing.
- Peccavi Sauvignon Blanc – has a bouquet of gooseberries, cassis and a hint of tropical fruits backed by faintly smoky vanilla oak. The palate displays great clarity and purity with a spectrum of lemon, lime and grapefruit unfolding to a palate that has capacity, volume and delicate textures. Precise acidity captures and creates a defined palate of vibrancy, finishing with a balanced crunchy lemon acidity
- Chardonnay – has a bouquet of gentle scents, toasted grain over melon layers. On the palate are notes of vanilla, toasty oak, pear and pineapple flavours. It is a medium to full-bodied Chardonnay that offers a nice concentration and harmony.
- ‘No Regrets’ Cabernet Merlot – this wine has flavours of red and black fruits, chocolatey oak with hints of herbs and minerals. It is full to medium bodied, soft, plush with a juicy core of berry fruit and well-integrated tannins.
- Syrah – is a powerful, modern, and Rhône-inspired wine with peppery, spicy aromas of blackberries, dark plum and blueberries. There are hints of fresh chocolate/mocha oak and dried herbs. Underpinned by fine tannins, it is medium to full bodied, with a lingering core of dark fruit and smoky oak.
- Cabernet Sauvignon – This Margaret River Cabernet offers deep aromas of red and black fruits on the nose, along with fine layers of graphite and dried herbs. It is a full-bodied wine that offers on the palate dense flavours of berry fruits and spicy notes, well-balanced tannins, a remarkable texture and a rich finish.
- ‘The Estate’ Merlot – this wine offers aromas of black cherries and chocolate with hints of oak and dried herbs. A full to medium-bodied wine, it provides a long, elegant, and silky texture with deep flavours of plums, berries, oak and earthly herbs.
