Maison Gérard Boyer is a seven-hectare property located mainly in Côte de Beaune, in the commune of Meursault. Winegrowers for five generations, the domain has constantly evolved. Gérard Boyer took over the reins in the 1980s, and modernised traditional winemaking approaches, developed a network of customers and acquired new appellations by the 2000s.

Maison Gérard Boyer cultivate vines, vinify the grapes and produce the wines with respect for tradition. In order to expand the appellations from Burgundy, the property, also buy some wine cuvées from small winegrowers.

The Domaine lost the habit of using herbicides for over 8 years and is now focusing on soil cultivation. The goal is to give life back to the soil and promote root development to make the vines stronger and less sensitive to the warmer summers. Sustainable agriculture approaches are utilised with treatments including natural molecules such as copper and sulphur to protect the land. The harvest is processed by hand, with the sorting is done in the vineyard.

Today, Jean Boyer, son to Gérard Boyer, has taken over from his father, and continues to produce round and well-balanced wines, with aromas of butter, citrus and spices, supported by oak flavours.
