Top Selection has expanded its Italian portfolio after being named the exclusive UK importer and distributor for the historic Piedmont estate, Borgogno.
Established in 1761, Borgogno is the oldest continuously operating winery in Barolo. The estate has spent centuries earning a global reputation for its strictly traditional, long-lived wines, acting as a definitive benchmark for the region. Under the current stewardship of the Farinetti family, the winery manages over 30 hectares of prime vineyards, including highly prized holdings in historic crus such as Cannubi, Liste, and Fossati.
The estate’s philosophy aligns closely with Top Selection’s focus on authentic, independent, and terroir-driven producers. Borgogno remains deeply committed to low-intervention winemaking, utilising certified organic farming, spontaneous fermentations, and traditional long macerations in large Slavonian oak casks.
Adding a producer of Borgogno’s historical significance is a major milestone for the Top Selection portfolio, offering trade clients direct access to some of the most respected expressions of Nebbiolo available today. The partnership strengthens our Italian range at a time when demand for classic, well-structured Barolo continues to grow among the UK’s top restaurants and independent retailers.
The first shipments of the core range, including the classic Barolo, single-vineyard crus, and rare library releases from the estate’s famous underground cellars, are arriving in our warehouse now.
