Top Selection named No. 10 in Harpers Top 50 Drinks Wholesalers 2025

We’re delighted to share that Top Selection has been ranked 10th in Harpers’ Top 50 Drinks Wholesalers 2025 — a jump from 19th last year — recognising the work of our team, the quality of our producers and the trust of our customers across the UK trade.

Why this matters

Harpers Wine & Spirit Trade News is one of the UK trade’s most respected voices, and its annual Top 50 Drinks Wholesalers list is widely regarded as a benchmark for performance and progress. The ranking does not simply reward scale. Harpers assesses wholesalers on professionalism, portfolio quality, service, innovation, sustainability and investment, and crucially measures each business against its own stated ethos and ambitions. In short, it celebrates wholesalers who add real value to the on- and off-trade.

What Harpers highlighted

In its write-up, Harpers praised our continued focus on high-quality, often boutique, family-owned estates, supported by a clear, sustainable growth strategy. It highlighted initiatives such as:

  • Expanded regional distribution, particularly within the South West and North of England

  • Development of new regional wholesaler partnerships
  • Ongoing investment in systems and digital marketing
  • Active programme of regional trade events and education

  • Our commitment to sustainability and the use of renewable energy

These are long-term commitments that help our customers build stronger, more distinctive lists and deliver better guest experiences.

A portfolio built on provenance

Across the past year we have continued to champion producers who over-deliver on quality and value,  broadening the choice available to sommeliers, buyers and independent retailers. From classic regions to emerging appellations, our portfolio is shaped to give the trade confidence, consistency and character on the list. Thank you to everyone who has helped us reach this milestone. We look forward to building on this momentum and supporting our partners through the key trading periods to come.
