Taking over the winemaking at his family estate at the tender age of 20 in 1991, David Duband has forged a reputation as one of the leading winemakers in the Cote D’Or. The talented winemaker now manages roughly 20 hectares of vines, expanding over 23 appellations, among them some of the most prestigious in the region, including; Gevrey Chambertin, Morey St Denis, Echezeaux, Vosne Romanee, Chambolle Musigny and Nuits-Saint-Georges.

Deeply dedicated to expressing in every bottle the unique characteristics of each vine plot, Duband chose in 2008 to return to a traditional Burgundian winemaking approach; one that emphasises organic processes in the vineyard and whole cluster fermentation in the winery. The result is a stunning array of wines, whose complex aromas echo the dazzling patchwork of Burgundy’s “climats.”

“Once I had tasted old bottles from Dujac and DRC made with whole clusters I knew I wanted to make similarly aromatics wines” David Duband.
