A descendant of a legendary wine making family, Egon Müller produces some of Germany’s, indeed the worlds, most acclaimed Rieslings. The winery is located in the Saar district of the Mosel wine region, where his most prized wines come from world-famous Scharzhofberg vineyard.

Egon favours a traditionally minimalist approach to winemaking, with the focus on producing the best possible grapes in the vineyard. The grapes are hand-harvested, and pressed without any skin contact before being fermented in very old (1000L) oak casks. The combination of the fantastic Scharzhofberg terroir, the greatest Grand Cru in Germany, and Egon’s genius as a winemaker, result in wines of incredible minerality, elegance, acidity and perfect balance.

Egon Müller is member of the First families of wine organisation, Primum Familiae Vini, an elite group of family-owned producers and in 2023 received the Golden Vines Best Fine Wine Producer in Europe Award for the second time.
